In late October- early November of 2024, the Lord Packwoods joined Caddo Parish Commissioner Ken Epperson on Channel 6 News in Shreveport advocating for Veteran rights.

This was in recognition of "Hire a Veteran Week" and both leaders advocated the skillsets and leadership that military veterans bring to companies and industries that seek them out.
